Another day of baseball in the books! See the results below. See the previous day’s recap here.

AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (3-5) lost 2-1 (BOX SCORE)

Sugar Land got on the board first scoring a run on a solo HR in the 2nd inning from Price. Walter started for Sugar Land and pitched well allowing 1 run over 4.1 innings. The bullpen was great keeping the score tied as the game went into extra innings. The offense was unable to score again and in the 12th inning the Bulls were able to walk it off for the 2-1 win.

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (1-1) lost 5-2 (BOX SCORE)

McCullers made another rehab start but struggled a bit allowing 4 runs over 1.2 innings and walking three batters. The offense got on the board in the 3rd on a Barber solo HR. They got another run in the 5th on a Garcia sac fly. Hicks pitched in relief and allowed 1 run over 5 innings with 5 strikeouts but the offense was unable to get anything else going as the Hooks fell 5-2.

A+: Asheville Tourists (0-2) lost 13-2 (BOX SCORE)

Pena started for Asheville but really struggled allowing 10 runs over 4 innings. The offense got on the board in the 3rd inning on a Sullivan solo HR. Perez relieved Pena and allowed 2 more runs as the Grasshoppers extended their lead. Sullivan connected on another solo HR in the 6th but that was it from the offense as Asheville fell 13-2.

A: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (1-1) lost 6-5 (BOX SCORE)

Hertzler started for the Woodpeckers and pitched well allowing 1 unearned run over 4.2 innings with 6 strikeouts. The offense got on the board in the 6th on a fielder’s choice. The Hillcats scored 3 runs in the 7th to take the lead but the Woodpeckers responded with 4 runs in the bottom of the inning on a Villarroel RBI single, a Hernandez sac fly, a Brutcher sac fly and a run scoring on a wild pitch. The pen was unable to hold the lead though as the Woodpeckers fell 6-5.
