AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (59-63) lost 7-2 (BOX SCORE)

Gordon got the start for Sugar Land and went 6 innings allowing 6 runs, 5 earned. The offense got on the board in the 6th inning on RBI doubles from Salazar and Short. The pen allowed one more run and the offense was quiet the rest of the way as Sugar Land fell 7-2.

Note: Salazar has a .745 OPS this season.

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (41-77) lost 8-1 (BOX SCORE)

Swanson got the start for the Hooks but struggled allowing 5 runs over 5 innings. Sanchez was next in and he allowed 3 runs over 2 innings. The offense got a run in the 8th on a Martinez sac fly but that was it as the Hooks fell 8-1.

Note: Spence has a 1.007 OPS in Double-A.

A+: Asheville Tourists (49-67) lost 5-3 (BOX SCORE)

Santos got the start and allowed 3 runs, 2 earned, over 4 innings of work. The offense got on the board in the 3rd on a Brutcher solo HR. The offense got 2 more in the 8th on an Encarnacion groundout and Janek RBI single. The come back came up short though as Asheville fell 5-3.

Note: Nunez is hitting .270 in High-A.

A: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (63-56) won 4-2 (BOX SCORE)

Gonzalez got the start and pitched well allowing 1 run over 5.2 innings. The offense got on the board in the 4th inning on a Frey RBI single. The offense got 2 runs in the 7th in a Call 2 run HR. In the 9th, Hernandez added an RBI single. The pen allowed a run but closed out the 4-2 win.

Note: Frey has 12 RBI in 17 games.
