MLB Announces Astros’ Bonus Pool for 2026 MLB Draft

Astros

On Wednesday, MLB announced the bonus pools for each team for the 2026 draft class. This is exciting news for the Astros as this draft has the chance to really turn the system around, as I wrote here.

The Astros bonus pool for 2026 is set at $13,712,000. That is the 11th highest bonus pool in the league. Last year they were at $7,181,500, which was the 4th lowest in the league. This is the largest bonus pool the Astros have had since 2015, when they possessed two top five selections. The bonus numbers for each selection are below:

1.17 – $4,868,600

1.28 – $3,363,600

2.57 – $1,677,400

3.93 – $846,900

4.121 – $638,800

4.133 – $569,600

5.153 – $467,700

6.182 – $361,900

7.211 – $285,400

8.241 – $231,000

9.271 – $206,800

10.301 – $195,000

The draft is still a ways a way, but I am super excited about the influx of talent the Astros will be able to bring into the system with this level of bonus pool!
