Astros Minor League Recap: April 11th

AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (5-8) lost 8-4 (BOX SCORE)

Walter got the start and went 4.1 innings allowing 2 runs. He was relieved by Tamarez who allowed 3 runs. Sugar Land got on the board in the second inning on a Corona RBI single. In the 3rd, Melton connected on a solo HR. The offense got another in the 4th on a Guillorme RBI single and in the 5th, Melton connected on a second solo HR of the day. Robertson ran into some trouble in relief allowing 2 runs while retiring just 2 batters. The Isotopes picked up another run and the offense was unable to score again Sugar Land fell 8-4.


AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (2-5) won 4-3 (BOX SCORE)

Sherwin put the Hooks on the board first connecting on a 2 run HR in the 3rd inning. Hicks got the start and started with 3 scoreless innings, but ended up allowing 3 runs in the 4th. Bido was great in relief tossing 3.2 scoreless innings. In the 7th, the Hooks took the lead on a Castro 2 run single. Guilfoil closed it out tossing 2.1 scoreless innings as the Hooks won 4-3.


A+: Asheville Tourists (2-3) POSTPONED

A: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (1-5) POSTPONED
