Report: Astros to Call-Up Pitching Prospect Forrest Whitley

According to a report from Michael Schwab, the Astros are calling up former first round pick and top prospect, Forrest Whitley.

Whitley was a first round selection back in 2016. He had a breakout 2017 where he posted a 2.83 ERA with 143 K in 92.1 innings making it up to Double-A. Since then, he has been thrown many curveballs. From injuries, to a suspension, to Tommy John surgery, to a missed 2020 season, Whitley has continued to persevere in the face of adversity. His raw stuff is better than ever and in Triple-A this season he has 4 strikeouts over 3 innings.
