AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (71-67) lost 7-4 (BOX SCORE)
Weiss started for Sugar Land and went 3.1 innings allowing 2 runs while striking out 7. Sugar Land got on the board in the 7th inning on a fielder’s choice and Price sac fly. The Comets responded with 4 runs in the bottom of the inning to extend their lead. Cole connected on a 2 run home run in the 8th but that was it from the offense as Sugar Land fell 7-4.
Note: Ferreras is hitting .328 in Triple-A.

The Hooks got on the board in the second inning on a Nunez 3 run home run. They got another run in the 5th on a Huezo RBI double. Dombroski got the start and went 3.1 innings allowing 2 runs. He was relieved by Guedez who allowed 2 runs over 2.1 innings as Midland tied it up. In the 8th inning, the Hooks took the lead on a Call 2 run single. Marrero and Perez tossed scoreless outings in relief as they closed out the 6-4 win.

Fraide started for the Woodpeckers and went 4 innings allowing 2 runs. The offense got on the board in the third inning on a Durnin RBI single. In the 7th, the Woodpeckers scored 2 runs on a Galloway single to take the lead. Piasecki added a sac fly in the 8th for some insurance. The bullpen was great tossing 5 scoreless innings as they closed out the 4-2 win in game one of the series.
