Houston Astros Minor League Recap: July 12th

Another night of Astros minor league play is in the books. See how the prospects performed last night.

AAA: Fresno Grizzlies (46-42) OFF

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (57-31) OFF

A+: Lancaster Jethawks (46-42) OFF

A: Quad Cities River Bandits (41-47) OFF

A-: Tri-City ValleyCats (13-12) lost 4-3 (BOX SCORE

Kessay got the start for the ValleyCats in this one and while he struck out 8, he allowed 4 runs in his 4.2 innings of work. Tri-City got on the board in the 4th with Wrenn walking and coming around to score on a fielder’s choice plat. Pinales came in and kept the game close tossing 3.1 innings of no hit baseball. Rogers added a 2 run HR to bring the game to 4-3 but Tri-City was unable to score again.

ROOKIE: Greeneville Astros (8-11) OFF
