Houston Astros Minor League Recap: June 6th
Only two teams in action, see how the prospects performed last night.
AAA: Fresno Grizzlies (24-32) lost 6-2 (BOX SCORE)
Fresno has been scuffling of late. Musgrove got the start and was good the first five innings allowing just 1 run but gave up 5 in the 6th inning as El Paso extended their lead to 6-0. Fresno would battle back with an RBI single from Perez in 7th and another RBI single from Perez in the 9th. On the bright side, Cotton, Chapman, and Hoyt all tossed a scoreless inning in relief but the offense wasn’t able to get anything else going. Tucker is on a five game hitting streak with four of those games being multi-hit efforts.

A+: Lancaster Jethawks (31-26) won 8-7 (BOX SCORE)
Deetz got the start last night and gave up 3 runs in the 2nd inning. Lancaster would counter with 2 in the 3rd inning thanks to a 2 run double from Stubbs. Lancaster’s pitching would give up two more runs and they would go into the 7th down 5-2. Lancaster would explode for 5 runs thanks to a 3 run HR from Laureano and back to back doubles from Martin and Ritchie. The bullpen gave up 2 runs in the 8th and 9th sending the game to the bottom of the 9th tied at 7. With two on, Nunez pinch hit for Mizell and delivered a walk-off RBI single.
