Overview:
Ardines was signed by the Astros out of Panama in January 2024. After spending his first two professional seasons in the Dominican Summer League, the right-hander made the move stateside in 2026 and has quickly emerged as an intriguing young arm. Ardines posted a 3.42 ERA with 56 strikeouts over 52.2 innings in the Florida Complex League before earning a promotion to Single-A Fayetteville. He impressed in his full-season debut, striking out seven batters over four innings. Ardines can run his fastball up to 96 mph while also featuring a pair of promising breaking balls. Still just 19 years old and already finding success in full-season baseball, Ardines has the stuff and upside to potentially become another international pitching find for the Astros.
