Astros Minor League Recap: April 5th

Another day of minor league baseball is in the books. See the results below. Check out the previous day’s recap here.

AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (6-3) lost 2-0 (BOX SCORE)

Ullola started for Sugar Land and struck out 8 over the first 4 innings before allowing a few runners in the 5th and getting pulled. The Jumbo Shrimp ended up scoring 2 runs in the 5th inning. The rest of the bullpen was solid but the offense struggled all day collecting just two hits as they were shutout in the 2-0 loss.

Note: Murray has yet to allow a run this season.


AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (0-3) OFF

A+: Asheville Tourists (1-2) OFF

A: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (1-2) lost 9-4 (BOX SCORE)

Aguilar got the start for the Woodpeckers and allowed 4 runs over 3.2 innings. The offense got on the board in the 3rd on a Huezo RBI triple. They got another run in the 5th on a Forrester sac fly. In the 6th, Sierra tied the game on a 2 run HR. The pen struggled though allowing another 5 runs as the Woodpeckers fell 9-4.

Note: Carrera has 33 K in 26 innings in Single-A.
