Welcome to the final hotlist of the year for Astros prospects. Here is last week’s hotlist.
Who’s Hot At The Plate?
Jacob Melton – Melton finished really strong in Sugar Land over the last few weeks. This week in six games he hit .286 with 2 doubles, 2 home runs, 4 runs batted in and 2 stolen bases. He finished the 2025 season with a .945 OPS in 35 Triple-A games.
Brice Matthews – Matthews also finished on a nice hot streak. He played in six games for Sugar Land this week and hit .316 with a double, a home run, 6 runs batted in and 5 stolen bases. He posted a .830 OPS with 17 home runs and 41 stolen bases in 112 Triple-A games in 2025.
Zach Dezenzo – Dezenzo was sent to Sugar Land for a rehab and hit really well. In just two games he collected three hits, a double and 2 home runs, with also 5 runs batted in. A strong finish in Triple-A for him and hopefully he can be healthy in 2026.
Who’s Hot On The Mound?
Ethan Pecko – Pecko finished the season on a nice hot streak. This week he pitched in one start and went 5 innings allowing 3 unearned runs while striking out 7 with no walks. In 35 innings in Triple-A, Pecko posted a 3.09 ERA with 48 strikeouts. Pecko figures to be in a position for a big league callup next year.
Cody Bolton – Bolton has been a nice find for Sugar Land and this week he made a start rather than out of the pen. In his start he tossed 4.2 innings allowing 1 run with 6 strikeouts. He had a 1.98 ERA in 13.2 innings for Sugar Land in 2025.
Joey Mancini – Mancini made his first Triple-A start this week and pitched well. The right-hander went 6 innings allowing 2 runs while striking out 4. He finished the season with a 4.74 ERA over 123.1 innings between Double-A and Triple-A.
