This will be your weekly hot list of prospects who are performing well at the plate and on the mound. Here is last week’s hotlist. Below is the new hotlist for Week Twenty-One.
Who’s Hot At The Plate?
Jacob Melton – Melton was really good for Sugar Land over the last week. He played in five games and hit .353 with 2 doubles, a home run, 3 runs batted in and 4 stolen bases. Melton has 4 home runs and 10 stolen bases with a .920 OPS in 29 games in Triple-A this year.
Will Bush – Bush put together a strong 2025 season and capped it off with a nice week for the Hooks. Over four games he hit .333 with 2 doubles, a home run and 4 runs batted in. Bush finished the season with 15 home runs, 47 runs batted in and a .777 OPS over 97 games between High-A and Double-A.
Kenedy Corona – After a breakout 2023, Corona has failed to get back to that level though he has had some good weeks like this one. In six games this week the outfielder hit .353 with a home run and stolen base. He has 7 home runs and 17 stolen bases in 117 games this season.
Brice Matthews – Matthews has been up and down of late in Triple-A but had a strong week over the last few games. Despite not hitting for much average, Matthews connected on 3 home runs and drove in 10 runs in 8 games. He has 16 home runs, 36 stolen bases and a .820 OPS over 106 games this season.
Who’s Hot On The Mound?
Ethan Pecko – Pecko has continued his strong run of late turning in another strong start. This week in his one outing he allowed 2 runs over 5 innings while striking out 9. In Triple-A this season he has a 3.60 ERA with 41 strikeouts in 30 innings. He is up to 88 K in 75 innings overall.
Nic Swanson – Swanson has had a tough season but was great this week for the Hooks. In his one start the right-hander struck out 8 over 5.2 scoreless innings. He finished the season with 64 strikeouts in 66 innings including a 1.80 ERA during the month of September for Corpus Christi.
Alonzo Tredwell – Tredwell was the Astros second round pick in 2023 and after some injuries, the right-hander put together a really good season in 2025. This week in one outings for Corpus Christi he struck out 9 over 4 scoreless innings. He finished with 122 K in 100 innings including 40 K in 22.2 innings in Double-A.
Trey Dombroski – Dombroski has continued to have a solid season and ends up on this list yet again. In his one outing this week he tossed 4 scoreless innings with 5 strikeouts. Overall this year he finished with a 3.61 ERA with 116 strikeouts in 112.1 innings in Double-A, allowing just 91 hits.
