Astros Minor League Recap: September 24th

AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (1-0) won 14-2 (BOX SCORE)

Sugar Land got on the board in the 2nd inning on a Cabbage solo HR and Melton 2 run HR to go up 3-0. They got 3 more runs in the 3rd inning on a Dezenzo sac fly and RBI doubles from Hummel and Sacco. Blubaugh got the start and pitched well allowing 2 runs over 5.2 innings while striking out 6. The offense rallied for more runs in the 6th on a bases loaded walk to Leon and Dezenzo, a Cabbage RBI single, another bases loaded walk to Melton and a Matthews 2 run single. The offense added 2 more in the 8th on a Sacco RBI double and Matthews RBI single. The pen was great tossing 3.1 scoreless innings to close out the game one win.

Note: The offense collected 14 hits and 7 walks.
