According to a report from Chandler Rome of the Athletic, the Astros are calling up prospect, Pedro León.

León was signed an international free agent out of Cuba in 2021 for $4 million. Has spent the last few seasons in Triple-A but has consistently made progress. This year, León is hitting .297 with 21 doubles, 19 homers, 74 runs batted in and 23 stolen bases in 93 Triple-A games.

The right-handed hitter has some big time power, connecting on some huge blasts this season. He also has plus speed and the ability to play all three outfield positions. With the departure of Loperfido, León will be a nice addition to the team.
