Who’s Hot On The Mound?
Jake Bloss – Bloss continued his dominant run ending up on this list again. The right0hander made one start and tossed 6.1 no-hit innings with 6 strikeouts. Cesar Gomez finished off the no-hitter. Bloss has a 1.61 ERA allowing only 19 hits in 44.2 innings in Double-A.
Yeriel Santos – Santos pitched in two games this week and both were good. In the first he went 5 innings allowing 1 run. In the second, he went 5 scoreless innings racking up 7 strikeouts. Overall this season he has a 3.04 ERA with 58 K in 53.1 innings.
Jose Guedez – Guedez was another guy I wrote about flying under the radar, and he had another good outing this week. The right-hander made one start allowing 1 hit and 1 run over 5 innings of work. Overall he has a 2.85 ERA with 53 K in 47.1 innings this season.
Alonzo Tredwell – Tredwell was a little shaky to start the season but turned in his best start as a professional this week. He went 5 innings allowing 1 run, no walks, and struck out 4. The first 4 innings were no-hit too. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come.
