Astros Minor League Recap: July 5th, 2021
Another day of minor league baseball is in the books and you can see all the Astros affiliates results below.
AAA: Sugar Land Skeeters (30-22) won 9-3 (BOX SCORE)
Hansen made his first start back off the IL since May 18th and went 1 innings allowing 2 runs. The offense got off to a nice start scoring 2 runs in the first on a Meyers RBI triple and Hinojosa RBI fielder’s choice. The Skeeters picked up 3 more runs in the 4th on a Dawson RBI single and Lee 2 run single. In the 5th they added two more runs on a Hinojosa RBI double and he eventually scored on a wild pitch. McKee relieved Hansen and tossed 2 scoreless innings. Next in was Hartman who allowed just 1 hit and 1 run over 5 innings with 5 strikeouts. The Skeeters got a couple more runs on a Shaver solo HR in the 6th and Siri solo HR in the 7th. Paredes closed it out with a scoreless 9th inning.
Note: Siri is hitting .332 with 14 2B, 10 HR this season.
