The Skeeters jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the 4th on a Dawson 2 run double, Siri RBI double and Papierski RBI single. Hartman started for the Skeeters and went 6 innings allowing 4 runs. Jones gave the Skeeters the lead in the 7th with an RBI single and Hinojosa added some insurance with a solo HR in the 8th. Kelly tossed 2 scoreless to hold it and Ferrell closed it out with a scoreless 9th to pick up the save.

Note: Hinojosa is hitting .333 with 6 HR, 20 RBI in July.

Rosado seated for the Hooks and got roughed up allowing 8 runs over 3.2 innings, though only 3 runs were earned. He was relieved by Mushinski who went 4.1 innings and allowed just 1 unearned run. The offense struggled to get anything going until the 9th inning when they picked up 4 on a Manea 2 run single and Taylor 2 run single but it wasn’t enough as the Hooks lost 9-4. Also, Lee was tossed in the 5th for arguing balls and strikes on defense.

Note: Lee has 11 BB/12 K in 32 AA games.

A+: Asheville Tourists (28-39) SUSPENDED
