Astros Minor League Recap: June 7th, 2021
Another day of minor league baseball is in the books and you can see all the Astros affiliates results below.
AAA: Sugar Land Skeeters (18-9)
Game 1 – lost 4-2 (BOX SCORE)
LaRue started for the Skeeters and went 3 innings allowing 1 run. The Skeeters got 2 runs in the 2nd on a Papierski RBI double and Hinojosa RBI single. Martes pitched for the first time since since 2019 and struggled walking 3 and retiring just 1 batter while allowing 2 runs. Kelly pitched the final 2.2 allowing just 1 run. The offense was unable to get anything else going as the Skeeters dropped this one 4-2.
Note: Papierski is hitting .328 with 10 RBI this season.

Game 2 – won 3-2 (BOX SCORE)
Hartman started for the Skeeters and pitched well allowing 2 runs over 5.2 innings while striking out 7. De Goti put the Skeeters on the board in the first inning with a bases loaded walk. In the 3rd, Toro added a 2 run HR, his first of the season. Blanco closed it out striking out 2 in a scoreless 7th to get the save.
Note: Hartman has a 3.25 ERA with 34 K in 27.2 innings.
