Astros Land Six Prospects on MLB’s Top 100 List
Another day, another prospect list released. It’s amazing what Luhnow and company have built. The Astros have won 204 regular season games and a World Series in the last two years but still have six prospects on MLB’s top 100 prospects list. Here is the six:
7 – Forrest Whitley, RHP
8 – Kyle Tucker, OF
44 – Yordan Alvarez, OF
62 – Josh James, RHP
81 – Corbin Martin, RHP
97 – JB Bukauskas, RHP
Nice group of prospects here with Whitley leading the way at #7. Despite Tucker’s limited time in the MLB last year, he is still a top 10 prospect. Really encouraging to see Alvarez ranked so high. He is just 21 years old and should be starting back in AAA. James saw a huge rise going from unranked all the way to #62 and should be a big contributor this season for the Astros. Corbin Martin also getting some love following his first full season in the Astros system. Bukauskas rounds out the list at #97 and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him really jump this season.
