Astros Minor League Playoff Recap: September 9th, 2018

Another day of minor league baseball in the books. See the results below.

AAA: Fresno Grizzlies (3-2) won 10-1 (BOX SCORE)

The Grizzlies are moving on. Dykxhoorn started for Fresno and allowed 1 run over 5 innings. The offense got the scoring started in the 3rd scoring 3 runs on a Tucker 2 runs single and another run scoring on a double play. They added on 2 more runs in the 4th on a Ferguson RBI double and De Goti sac fly. In the 6th they scored 3 more on an Alvarez RBI double and Stubbs 2 run HR. Reed capped the scoring with a 2 run HR in the 7th. The bullpen tossed 4 scoreless innings to close it out. The Grizzlies are the Pacific Conference Champions and will play for the PCL Championship starting Tuesday.


AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (2-3) lost 8-1 (BOX SCORE)

The Hooks had a 2-0 lead in the series but were unable to put the series away. Adcock started for the Hooks and allowed 3 runs recording just 2 outs in the first inning. He was relieved by LaRue who tossed 7 innings in relief allowing 3 runs, 2 earned. The Hooks only managed one run, which came on a solo HR in the 7th. San Antonio added on a few more runs and won the series deciding game easily 8-1.

A: Quad Cities River Bandits – Season Over


A-: Tri-City ValleyCats (2-0) won 4-2 (BOX SCORE)
