Another day of baseball in the books. See how the teams and prospects performed in their games last night.

AAA: Fresno Grizzlies (18-27) lost 9-0 (BOX SCORE)

This game was closer than the final score indicated. Martinez got the start and was solid allowing 2 runs over 6.1 innings. Unfortunately, the offense had a rough day managing just 4 hits the entire game. Gudan tossed 1.2 scoreless innings in relief. Memphis exploded for 7 in the 9th to really put the game out of reach.

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (22-22) won 7-6 (BOX SCORE)

Wild game for Corpus Christ last night. Smith got the start and went 5 innings allowing 3 runs, though all 3 were unearned. He lowered his ERA to 3.23 this season. Laureano got the Hooks scoring started with an RBI groundout in the 2nd inning. In the 6th, Davis connected on a 2 run HR, his 10th HR of the season. Corpus entered the 8th inning down 4-3 but took the lead on back to back HR from Woodward and Ferguson.

Frisco re-took the lead in the bottom of the 8th with their own two runs. Corpus wouldn’t go away though as Laureano came through with a big 2 run triple to re-take the lead. Laureano has struggled a bit but does have 22 RBI in 41 games. Thompson pitched a scoreless 9th to close it out.
