In the 6th they would get another 3 runs on a Ritchie 2 run double and a Ballard RBI double. Ballard added an RBI single in the 8th to cap off the scoring. Comer closed the game with a scoreless 9th.

A: Quad Cities River Bandits (34-42) won 4-2 (BOX SCORE)

A-: Tri-City ValleyCats (5-8) played a doubleheader

GAME 1 – lost 8-5 (BOX SCORE)

Adcock got the start and only threw two pitches giving up two hits. Hopefully it wasn’t an injury. DeGoti hit a 2 run single in the bottom of the 2nd to get the scoring started for Tri-City. Benedetti added an RBI single in the 3rd. In the 4th inning, Wrenn hit a solo HR his 4th of the season setting up Tri-City with a lead. Unfortunately the bullpen gave up 6 more runs. Wrenn added another solo HR in the bottom of the 7th but it wasn’t enough.

GAME 2 – lost 7-3 (BOX SCORE)

This game started out pretty bad with Williamsport scoring 2 runs in each of the first 3 innings off of Nicely. Nicely would exit after allowing 6 runs in 3 innings. Ayarza put Tri-City on the board with an RBI groundout and Rogers scoring on an error.
