Quad Cities River Bandits Recap: April 8th

The Quad Cities River Bandits looked to bounce back from a rough 0-2 start as they played in Cedar Rapids. The weather was not cooperating in Cedar Rapids, mix that in with a group of guys that have not experienced playing baseball in this type of weather and you’ll have problems handling the ball and the bat. Today, they not only got to return home but compared to what the weather was in Cedar Rapids it was a major heat wave.

The glitz and glamour of opening up at home quickly came to a halt when Bandits gave up a run in the first inning with Bobby Wernes making a errant throw to first and Chris Murphy making an errant pick-off throw. The Bandits had chances of getting on the board with an inning with bases loaded, no outs, only to get one run out of it. Daz Cameron added a 7th inning RBI but that’s all they could muster as the Bandits lost 2-6. Quad Cities River Bandits look to get momentum going into the week playing at 1:15 PM tomorrow.
