Sugar Land got on the board in the 2nd inning on a Dezenzo RBI double. Alexander started for Sugar Land and allowed 5 runs over 6 innings. Schiavone connected on a solo home run in the 5th to get a run back. The pen tossed 3 scoreless innings but the offense was quiet the rest of the way as Sugar Land fell 5-2.

The Woodpeckers got on the board in the first inning thanks to a Tryon grand slam. Fraide got the start and dominated tossing 5 scoreless innings with 6 strikeouts. Carrera relieved Fraide and allowed 2 runs but the offense scored 3 more in the 7th on an Alvarez 2 run single and a Luciano groundout.
