Danel Reyes via Francys Romero on X

The Houston Astros are reported to be signing pitcher Danel Reyes, according to a report from Francys Romero. Reyes is an 18-year-old right-handed pitcher from Cuba.

He is seen as an athletic pitcher with a fastball at 93 MPH. The 6’2″ right-hander has a projectable frame and first emerged as a top arm pitching for Cuba’s 2022 U-15 World Cup team. The deal is pending physical. Reyes will give the Astros another projectable arm to work with down in the minors.

Reyes will join an international class that already saw the Astros sign some big name prospects.
