AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (7-9) lost 6-5 (BOX SCORE)

Sugar Land got on the board in the first on a Price sac fly. Gordon started for Sugar Land but struggled a bit allowing 4 runs over 4 innings. The offense got 2 runs in the 3rd inning on a Whitcomb 2 run HR. In the 4th, Salazar connected on a 2 run HR to give Sugar Land the lead. The pen allowed a run in the 8th and 9th as Sugar Land fell 6-5.

Note: Murray has a 1.00 ERA this season.


AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (3-7) lost 3-0 (BOX SCORE)

Mancini got the start and allowed 3 runs, 2 earned, over 4 innings of work. The bullpen was solid tossing 4 scoreless innings allowing just 1 hit. The offense collected 7 hits but were unable to scratch across a run as they fell 3-0.

Note: Guilfoil has a 1.29 ERA this season.


A+: Asheville Tourists (4-5) lost 15-0 (BOX SCORE)

True got the start but lasted just 1 inning allowing 1 run. He was relieved by Rodriguez who allowed 6 runs over 1.1 innings. Langford and Santos also pitched in relief allowing 4 runs each. The offense was quiet on the night collecting just 5 hits as they were shutout in the 15-0 loss.

Note: Gonzalez is hitting .313 this season.


A: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (4-5) won 7-6 (BOX SCORE)

The Woodpeckers got on the board in the bottom of the first on a Powell solo HR. They got another in the 3rd on a Villarroel RBI double. Mayer got the start and allowed 4 runs over 4 innings. The offense battled back getting 4 runs in the bottom of the 4th on a Luciano RBI single and Powell 3 run double. David allowed 2 runs in the 8th as the Nationals tied it up. In the bottom of the 9th, Hernandez drew a bases loaded walk-off walk to win it 7-6.

Note: Powell is hitting .314 this season.
