Another day of Astros minor league action is in the books. See the results below!

AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (74-46) lost 7-1 (BOX SCORE)

Junk got the start and struggled allowing 5 runs over 3.1 innings. The offense got on the board in the 4th on a Melton RBI single. The pen allowed a couple runs and the offense was quiet the rest of the way as Sugar Land fell 7-1.

Note: Montero has a 0.00 ERA in Triple-A.


AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (41-73) lost 11-6 (BOX SCORE)

Ullola got the start but struggled allowing 4 runs over 4 innings of work. The Hooks got on the board in the 3rd on a Sacco RBI single. They got another run in the 4th on a Ferreras RBI double. Dombroski relieved Ullola and allowed 7 runs over 4 innings. The offense got a run in the 7th on an Espinosa solo HR and 3 runs in the 8th on a fielder’s choice, Deming RBI single and Matthews bases loaded walk. That was it from the offense though as the Hooks fell 11-6.

Note: Cole has 15 doubles in Double-A.


A+: Asheville Tourists (46-66) won 6-1 (BOX SCORE)

True got the start and pitched really well striking out 7 over 5 innings allowing 1 run. The offense got things going in a big way in the 7th inning scoring 6 runs on a Johnson 2 run double, a fielder’s choice, Morton RBI single, Sherwin RBI single and Janek sac fly. The pen was great tossing 4 scoreless as they closed out the 6-1 win.

Note: True has 100 K in 89 innings this season.


A: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (50-62) won 5-4 (BOX SCORE)

Marquez got the start and allowed 3 runs over 3 innings. The Woodpeckers got on the board in the 2nd on a Hernandez RBI single. They got another run in the 4th on a Holy RBI groundout. After the Cannon Ballers added 2 more runs, the offense responded with 3 runs in the 5th on a Hernandez RBI single and bases loaded walks to Sullivan and Villarroel. A Sullivan sac fly in the 7th gave the Woodpeckers the lead.

Note: Spence is hitting .323 in Single-A.
