AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (66-38) lost 5-2 (BOX SCORE)
Sugar Land got on the board in the first inning on a Whitcomb sac fly. Gordon started for Sugar Land and went 4.2 innings allowing 2 runs while striking out 4. Coleman struggled in relief allowing 3 runs as the Express extended their lead. Hummel added an RBI single in the 9th but that was it as Sugar Land fell 5-2.

The Hooks offense got on the board in the first on a Barber sac fly. Dombroski made his Double-A debut for the Hooks and was solid striking out 3 over 4 scoreless innings. The Hooks got another run in then 4th on an Espinosa sac fly. Hicks relieved Dombroski and allowed 2 runs over 3.2 innings as the Sod Poodles tied it. The game went to extras and in the 10th, the Sod Poodles got a run to go up 3-2. The Hooks offense went down in the bottom of the inning as they fell 3-2.

Urias got the start for Asheville and went 6 innings allowing 3 runs with 4 strikeouts. The offense got on the board in the 7th on a Sherwin RBI double. The bullpen was solid but offense was quiet the rest of the way as Asheville fell 3-1.

Marte started for the Woodpeckers and struck out 7 over 4.1 innings allowing 3 runs. The offense got on the board in the 4th scoring 2 runs on passed balls. They got 2 more runs in the 5th with a run scoring on a balk and a double steal of home to go up 4-3. Mercedes struck out 9 over 3 scoreless innings to close out the win.
