Astros 2021 Draft Picks Rounds 11-20

The Astros made their finals picks today. Finding info on these guys is pretty tough but I will update it as I get it. Below are the choices!

Rd 11, #328) Chad Stevens, SS, University of Portland

Stevens is a well built shortstop coming in at 6-4 and 215 lbs. This season at Portland he hit .333 with 19 2B, 8 HR, 12 SB in 49 games. He is 22 years old.

Rd 12, #358) Rhett Kouba, RHP, Dallas Baptist

Kouba is listed at 6-0 and 180 lbs. He is 21 years old and in 2021 he posted a 2.77 ERA with 87 K in 74.2 innings.

Rd 13, #388) Kobe Kato, 2B, Arizona

Kobe is a second baseman out of the University of Arizona. In 2021, at age 22, the left handed batter hit .350 with .929 OPS in 63 games. He is listed at 6-1 and 180 lbs.

Rd 14, #418) Bryant Salgado, RHP, Oregon State

Salgado pitched in relief for the Beavers but posted a 1.01 ERA and allowing just 16 hits in 26.2 innings. He is 5-11, 204 lbs and can run his fastball up to mid 90s.

Rd 15, #448) Adrian Chaidez, RHP, UCLA

Chaidez is a 22 year old pitcher who was one of the primary relievers for the Bruins in 2021. He posted a 2.20 ERA with 48 K in 32.2 innings and allowed just 14 hits.

Rd 16, #478) Nic Swanson, RHP, Northeastern St

Swanson is listed at 6-2 and 180 lbs and put up some impressive numbers. In 2021 he had a 1.55 ERA with 106 K in 87 innings.

Rd 17, #508) Justin Williams, 3B, Penn St

Williams was a 3 year starter at Penn St with his best year coming in 2021 where he slashed .302/.367/.472 in 42 games. He has a good build at 6-3 and 215 lbs.

Rd 18, #538) Will Wagner, 2B, Liberty University

Will is the son of Astros great Billy Wagner. At Liberty in 2021 he hit .333 with a .937 OPS and 7 HR in 53 games.

Rd 19, #568) Hector Nieves, SS, Puerto Rico Baseball Academy (PR)

Nieves is an 18 year old shortstop from Puerto Rico. He has good size at 6-3 and 185 lbs. Information is limited at this point.

Rd 20, #598) Jackson Linn, OF, Cambridge Rindge and Latin School (MA)

Linn is an 18 year old outfielder who has an excellent build, already standing 6-3 and 215 lbs. Other information is limited at this point.
