Astros Minor League Recap: May 10th, 2021
Another day of minor league baseball is in the books and you can see all the Astros affiliates results below.
AAA: Sugar Land Skeeters (4-1) won 7-3 (BOX SCORE)
Rodriguez made his 2021 debut for the Skeeters and he pitched well going 5 innings and allowing just 1 run with 5 strikeouts. Sugar Land got their first run in the second inning when Hinojosa scored on a wild pitch. In the 3rd inning, Jones added a 2 run single and Siri followed with a 2 run HR to make it 5-1. Torres came into relieve Rodriguez and allowed 2 runs (1 earned) in 2.2 innings. The Skeeters added some insurance with a Papierski RBI double in the 8th and a Hinojosa RBI double in the 9th. Velazquez came on for the last 1.1 innings and closed it out to pick up the save.
