AAA: Fresno Grizzlies (0-1) lost 10-4 (BOX SCORE)

Rodgers got the start and struggled allowing 6 runs over 5.1 innings The offense finally got on the board in the 5th scoring 2 runs on a Stubbs RBI double and a Straw RBI double. They scored 2 more in the 6th on a Tanielu RBI double and Stubbs RBI single. Unfortunately the bullpen struggled as Memphis was able to score more runs and stop the Fresno comeback as they dropped this one 10-4.


AA: Corpus Christi Hooks – SEASON OVER


A+: Buies Creek Astros (1-0) won 2-1 (BOX SCORE)

Due to Hurricane Florence, the Carolina League was decided on a winner take all 1 game series last night. Abreu made his High-A debut and tossed 4 scoreless innings with 5 strikeouts. He was relieved by Hernandez who allowed 1 run over 3 innings. Buies Creek tied the game at 1 on an Adams solo HR in the 8th inning. Paredes tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief as the game moved to extra innings. He was relieved by McKee who also tossed 2 scoreless innings. In the bottom of the 11th, Arauz had a walk-off sac fly to win it. The Buies Creek Astros are the 2018 Carolina League Champions!
