Astros Minor League Recap: July 19th, 2018

Another day of minor league baseball in the books. See the results below.

AAA: Fresno Grizzlies (56-41) won 8-7 (BOX SCORE)

Hauschild got the start but struggled allowing 6 runs over 5.2 innings. Fresno got on the board in the 5th on a Nunez 2 run HR. They picked up another in the 6th on a Ritchie bases loaded walk to make it 6-3. The Grizzlies took a 7-6 lead in the 8th when Fisher hit a go-ahead grans slam. Sacramento scored 1 in the 9th to tie it but Nunez had a sac fly in the 10th to win it.

Note: Fisher has 3 HR, 11 RBI over his last 10 games for Fresno.


AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (61-35) lost 3-1 (BOX SCORE)

Rough offensive game for the Hooks. Perez started and allowed 3 runs in his 4.2 innings. The Hooks only picked up 1 run which came on a De Goti RBI single in the 7th. Adcock tossed 3 scoreless innings in his AA debut.

Note: Adcock has allowed just 32 hits in 70.1 innings this season.


A+: Buies Creek Astros (54-43) lost 4-1 (BOX SCORE)

Javier started for Buies Creek and allowed 2 runs over 5 innings. Buies Creek only scored 1 run which came in the first inning on a De La Cruz RBI single. Hernandez allowed 2 runs, 1 earned over 4 innings. Unfortunately, the offense was unable to get anything else going as they lost 4-1.

Note: Javier has a 1.91 ERA with 111 K in 84.2 innings this season.


A: Quad Cities River Bandits (53-43) lost 5-2 (BOX SCORE)

Rosado got the start for Quad Cities and was very good tossing 5 no-hit innings. The River Bandits picked up 2 runs in the 3rd on an Angarita solo HR and Taylor RBI double. Rodriguez relieved Rosado and allowed 5 runs in his 4 innings of work as Quad Cities dropped this one 5-2.

Note: Beer has a .983 OPS in 31 games this season.
