Astros Minor League Recap: June 25th, 2018

Another day of minor league baseball in the books. See the results below.

AAA: Fresno Grizzlies (46-30) lost 7-5 (BOX SCORE)

James got the start last night and had his first rough outing in AAA as he allowed 6 runs over 4.2 innings. The offense picked up 2 runs in the 4th on Davis and Reed RBI groundouts. Tanielu tied the game in the 5th inning on a 2 run HR. Fresno picked up another run in the 6th on a Tucker solo HR, his 11th HR of the season. El Paso picked up a run off of Emanuel in the bottom of the 6th and ended up winning by a score of 7-5.

Note: Tucker is hitting .424 with 7 2B, 4 HR, 17 RBI, 7 SB in 21 June games.


AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (48-27) OFF


A+: Buies Creek Astros (39-34) POSTPONED


A: Quad Cities River Bandits (41-34) lost 9-0 (BOX SCORE)

Rough night for the Quad Cities offense. They managed to get seven hits, all singles, but were unable to push across a run. Mushinski started for the River Bandits and allowed 5 runs, 4 earned over 3.1 innings. Solomon pitched 4 innings in relief and picked up 6 strikeouts, though he allowed 2 runs.

Note: Solomon has a 2.44 ERA with 67 K in 55.1 innings this season.
