Astros Minor League Playoff Recap: September 9th, 2017
The Quad Cities River Bandits are the only minor league team left in the playoffs, and they got the second round started last night.
A: Quad Cities River Bandits (1-0) won 5-4 (BOX SCORE)
Wild game in Quad Cities last night. Sanabria got the start and struggled in the 2nd inning allowing 4 runs before being pulled after just 1.2 innings. He was reliever by Yohan Ramirez who was very good tossing 5.1 scoreless innings with 6 strikeouts.
The offense got things going in the 7th though. De La Cruz started the scoring with a 2 run single, McCormick added an RBI single, and a 4th run scored on an error to tie the game. The QC bullpen continued to pitch well keeping the game 4-4 until the 10th. In the bottom of the 10th, Rojas came through with an RBI single to RF to win it 5-4.
