Quad Cities inches closer to a Championship!
A: Quad Cities River Bandits (2-0) won 5-0 (BOX SCORE)
Quad Cities pulled off another dominant win. Sandoval got the start and was very good tossing 6 scoreless innings with 2 strikeouts. The offense once again got off to a nice start getting 1 run in the first inning on a Toro-Hernandez RBI single.
The River Bandits would add 2 more runs in the 6th inning on a McCormick RBI single and a Sieber RBI single. They continued to play add on in the 8th getting an RBI single from Moran. Matijevic added an RBI double in the 9th to make it 5-0. Montano pitched 3 scoreless innings to close it out and pick up the save.
Note: Moran is hitting .414 (12-for-29) in 8 playoff games.
