Another night of Astros minor league play is in the books. See how the prospects performed last night.

AAA: Fresno Grizzlies (63-51) lost 10-8 (BOX SCORE)

This game got off to a good start with Singleton hitting a 3 run HR in the first inning. Las Vegas would battle back though getting 1 in the 1st, 2 in the 2nd, 1 in the 3rd, and 4 in the 4th. Fresno got 3 of their own in the 4th on an Aplin 2 run single and a Moran RBI single. Singleton added an RBI double in the 5th and another run scored in the 6th to tie the game at 8. The game stayed tied at 8 until the 8th inning when Las Vegas scored 2 runs. Fresno went down in order in the 9th and was unable to comeback.

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (67-46) lost 7-2 (BOX SCORE)

Thornton was on the mound for the Hooks last night but had his roughest start in AA. He finished going 6 innings allowing 5 earned runs. Corpus scored early though getting an RBI single from Davis. In the 2nd Laureano added an RBI double but that was all they would get. Freeman pitched the last two innings for Corpus allowing 2 runs. The offense struggled getting just 3 hits after the 2nd inning.

A+: Lancaster Jethawks (63-49) won 11-5 (BOX SCORE)

Big game for the Jethawks last night going to 7-0 against Modesto this season. Lancaster jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a Woodward RBI groundout in the 1st. In the 2nd inning Lancaster put up 3 runs on a Mizell solo HR, Ballard solo HR, and an RBI single from Gurriel. Hernandez was on the mound last night and pitched very well. He went 6.2 innings allowing 3 runs with 12 strikeouts. The Jethawks put up 4 more in the 5th inning on a Ballard RBI walk, Sewald RBI hit by pitch, Boyd RBI walk, and a Gurriel sac fly. Thome came in the 9th and closed it out to give Lancaster their 63rd win of the season.
