Houston Astros Minor League Recap: August 17th
Another night of Astros minor league play is in the books. See how the prospects performed last night.
AAA: Fresno Grizzlies (65-58) lost 4-3 (BOX SCORE)
Fresno drops their 5th straight game and stays 5 games behind Tacoma. Rodgers was on the mound for Fresno but he only lasted 4 innings after being hit by a comebacker. He allowed 2 runs in his 4 innings. Fresno jumped out a 1-0 lead with Moran singling and coming around to score on a Singleton groundout. Omaha took a 3-1 lead into the 9th and added an insurance run which was very important. In the bottom of the 9th Fresno was able to rally for 2 runs on a Heineman RBI double and Garcia RBI groundout but that is all they would get as the comeback came up short.
