This will be your weekly look at the hottest prospects in the system, highlighting the top performers at the plate and on the mound. Below is the hotlist for Week Twenty-Five.
Who’s Hot At The Plate?
Jason Schiavone – Schiavone finished off to a monster season with a big week in Triple-A. In five games for Sugar Land, Schiavone hit .400 with 3 doubles, a home run and 4 runs batted in. He also stole a base giving him a 30 HR and 30 SB season in 2026.
Zach Cole – Cole wasn’t able to replicate his success from 2025 but still finished strong at least. Over the final five games in Sugar Land, Cole hit .333 with 2 doubles, a triple and 2 stolen bases. He still has some upside and should get more run in Houston next year.
Kevin Alvarez – Alvarez only played in one game last week, the Carolina League Championship game, but he went 3-for-4 with 2 runs batted in and a stolen base. He hit .333 through four games in the Carolina League Playoffs.

Who’s Hot On The Mound?
Juan Fraide – Fraide started the Carolina League Championship game and had one his best outings of the season. The right-hander tossed 5 scoreless innings while striking out 6 batters as he carried the Woodpeckers to their first Carolina League Championship.
Alimber Santa – Santa started out the season on fire and got a call-up to Houston but had some struggles as he went back down. He finished the season strong though tossing 3 scoreless innings with 3 strikeouts over 3 outings for Sugar Land.
Jackson Nezuh – Nezuh continued his nice season last week in Sugar Land. He pitched in two games tossing 4 scoreless innings with 5 strikeouts. Overall, Nezuh finished the year posting a 3.83 ERA with 124 strikeouts over 103.1 innings.
