Overview:

Fraide was signed by the Astros out of Mexico in January 2025. While he is smaller in statute at just 5-foot-11, he has some big time stuff. The right-hander runs his fastball up to 96 mph with solid off speed offerings. He started last year in the DSL but quickly moved stateside. This year he started in the FCL and after four starts, the Astros moved him to Fayetteville at 20 years old. He has performed well posting a 3.38 ERA with 48 strikeouts over 42.2 innings.
