The Houston Astros announced their minor-league staffs and coordinators for the 2026 season! See below for all the details.
Triple-A Sugar Land
Manager: Mickey Storey
Pitching Coach: Sean Buchanana
Hitting Coach: Drew Saylor
Development Coach: Wladimir Sutil
Athletic Trainer: Takeaki Ando
Strength Coach: Sam Knox
Dietician: Tara Boening
Storey returns to Sugar Land after getting a Championship in 2024 and another good season in 2025. This will be his 6th season as the Sugar Land manager. Buchanan returns to Sugar Land as well marking the second year for him with the Triple-A club. The Astros brought in Drew Saylor as the new hitting coach after leading the Royals system in 2025. Sutil enters his fifth season with Sugar Land.
Double-A Corpus Christi
Manager: Ricky Rivera
Pitching Coach: Zach Wilkins
Hitting Coach: Bobby Bell
Development Coach: Jeremy Cologina
Athletic Trainer: Jennifer Bardales
Strength Coach: Kevin Rivera
Rivera returns to Corpus Christi after his first year in Double-A last year. Bell returns to Corpus Christi for his fourth year as the hitting coach. Calhoon and Kevin Rivera return to Corpus as part of Ricky Rivera’s staff. The one change is Zach Wilkins moving from Asheville to Corpus Christi in 2025.
High-A Asheville
Manager: Nate Shaver
Pitching Coach: Craig Prince
Hitting Coach: TJ Burgmann
Development Coach: Josiah Hissong
Athletic Trainer: Eric Pimentel
Strength Coach: Cesar Vina
Shaver is returning to Asheville after being the manager there the previous three seasons. Prince joins the Astros staff after two years as the pitching coach for Eastern Michigan. Burgmann has been with the Astros for two three years and returns to Asheville. Hissong is in his first season with Houston after being an Assistant Coach with Davidson Baseball since 2022.
Single-A Fayetteville
Manager: Carlos Lugo
Pitching Coach: James Wiseman
Hitting Coach: Steve Serratore
Development Coach: Tanner Montgomery
Athletic Trainer: Daniel Gonzalez
Strength Coach: Aidan Myers
Lugo has been with the Astros since 2014 in various roles and returns for his second season with Fayetteville. Wiseman begins his third season with the Astros and second in Fayetteville. Serratore is in his first season with the Astros after spending time at the Air Force Academy and Bowling Green University. Montgomery is also new to the Astros after time at Radford University.
