Astros Minor League Recap: July 19th

AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (49-44) won 7-3 (BOX SCORE)

Sugar Land got on the board in the first inning on a Narvaez RBI single. They got 2 more in the 4th on a Narvaez 2 run HR. The offense would add 4 more runs in the 5th on a Bastidas 3 run double and Lavastida RBI single. Blubaugh got the start and pitched well tossing 5.1 scoreless innings with 7 strikeouts. The bullpen allowed a few runs, but were able to hold on for the 7-3 win.

Note: Blubaugh has a 1.14 ERA over his last 3 starts.


AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (30-58) lost 3-0 (BOX SCORE)

Arrighetti made a rehab start for the Hooks and pitched really well tossing 3 scoreless innings with 4 strikeouts. Mayer relieved Arrighetti and allowed 3 runs over 4.1 innings while striking out 5. The offense struggled all night collecting just five hits as they were shutout in the 3-0 loss.

Note: Mayer has 93 K in 72.1 innings this season.
