Sugar Land got on the board in the first on a Price sac fly. Gordon started for Sugar Land but struggled a bit allowing 4 runs over 4 innings. The offense got 2 runs in the 3rd inning on a Whitcomb 2 run HR. In the 4th, Salazar connected on a 2 run HR to give Sugar Land the lead. The pen allowed a run in the 8th and 9th as Sugar Land fell 6-5.

The offense battled back getting 4 runs in the bottom of the 4th on a Luciano RBI single and Powell 3 run double. David allowed 2 runs in the 8th as the Nationals tied it up. In the bottom of the 9th, Hernandez drew a bases loaded walk-off walk to win it 7-6.
