Another day of Astros minor league action is in the books. See the results below!

Here is the previous day’s recap.

AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (85-50) lost 1-0 (BOX SCORE)

Brown started for Sugar Land and pitched well striking out 3 over 5 innings allowing 1 unearned run. The pen was great tossing 3 scoreless innings. The offense struggled though collecting just 5 hits as they were shutout in the 1-0 loss.

Note: Hamilton has 21 doubles this season.

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (50-77) won 3-2 (BOX SCORE)

Guilfoil got the start and pitched well striking out 7 over 4.2 innings allowing 1 run. The Hooks tied things up in the 4th on a Price solo HR. Molero allowed a run in relief as the Travelers went up 2-1. In the 7th, the Hooks tied it again on a Deming RBI single. Encarnacion gave the Hooks the lead in the 8th with an RBI single. Pecko closed it out tossing 4 scoreless innings with 3 strikeouts to seal the win.

Note: Pecko has a 2.36 ERA in Double-A.

A+: Asheville Tourists (50-78) lost 5-0 (BOX SCORE)

True got the start but struggled allowing 3 runs while retiring just 2 batters. The rest of the pen was solid with Perez and Cobos striking out 6 each while allowing 1 run. The offense was quiet on the night though, picking up just 5 hits as they were shutout, 5-0.

Note: Sanchez has a 2.81 ERA in High-A.

A: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (54-74)

Game 1 – lost 8-6 (BOX SCORE)

The Woodpeckers got on the board in the 2nd inning on an Ochoa RBI single. Sanchez got the start but struggled allowing 6 runs over 2.2 innings. He was relieved by Marquez who allowed 2 runs over 4.1 innings. The offense would battle getting 5 runs in the 5th on a Hernandez RBI single, Holy bases loaded walk, Sullivan bases loaded walk and Austin 2 run single. That was it from the offense though as the Woodpeckers dropped game one, 8-6.

Note: Hernandez has 33 SB this season.

Game 2 – won 1-0 (BOX SCORE)

The Woodpeckers got on the board in the 3rd inning on a Colon solo HR. That was all starter needed. Rodriguez started game two and dominated tossing a complete game shutout (7 innings) with 5 strikeouts as the Woodpeckers game game two, 1-0.

Note: Rodriguez has a 2.86 ERA in Single-A.
