Another day of Astros minor league action is in the books. See the results below!

AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (74-43) lost 8-2 (BOX SCORE)

Gusto got the start but struggled allowing 8 runs over 5 innings with 6 strikeouts. The offense got on the board in the 7th on an Amaya RBI single. They got another run in the 9th on a Salazar RBI single but that was it as Sugar Land fell 8-2.

Note: VanWey has 80 K in 56.2 innings this season.


AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (39-71) SUSPENDED

A+: Asheville Tourists (46-63) SUSPENDED

A: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (49-61) won 6-1 (BOX SCORE)

Sanchez got the start for the Woodpeckers and went two innings allowing 1 run. The offense got on the board in the third inning scoring 2 runs on RBI doubles from Sullivan and Austin. Austin added an RBI single in the 5th and in the 6th, Bush added another RBI single. Santos relieved Sanchez and was solid tossing 4 scoreless innings with 3 strikeouts. The offense added 2 more runs in the 8th on a Bush RBI double and Holy RBI single. Gonzalez closed it out tossing 3 scoreless innings with 7 strikeouts to pick up the save.

Note: Austin is hitting .375 so far in his pro career.
