Hitter – Will Wagner

Wagner, originally a 18th round pick back in 2021, has put together a few good seasons but is experiencing a breakout this year. The 25-year-old is hitting .309 overall, but has been great over the last couple of months. Over his last 38 games, Wagner is hitting .371 with an OPS of over 1.000. He started the year without much power, but has seen it come around of late with 9 2B, 2 3B, 4 HR over his last 38. That’s on pace for 38 doubles, 17 homers over 162 games. Wagner has played primarily first and second base this year, and could figure into the future of first base for the Astros. He also has 51 walks to 31 strikeouts this year.

2024 Stats: 66 G, .309 BA/.426 OBP/.439 SLG, 13 2B, 2 3B, 5 HR, 37 RBI, 3 SB

Hitter – John Garcia

Garcia has put together a really strong season this year for Asheville. The 19th round pick from 2022 has shown to be a legit prospect in 2024. Over his last 30 games he has been hitting better hitting .350 with 12 doubles, 7 homers and a 1.043 OPS. Catchers that hit are tough to find, and Garcia is showing his value this year also throwing out 21% of base stealers.

Pitcher – Jackson Nezuh

During his last 12 outings, he has struck out 79 over 58.2 innings allowing just 36 hits, good for a .171 BAA.
