Julio Robaina | Credit: Tammy Tucker

Another day of Astros minor league action is in the books. See the results below!

Here is the previous day’s recap.

AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (23-12) lost 8-6 (BOX SCORE)

Tamarez started for Sugar Land and allowed 7 runs over 3 innings of work. The bullpen struggled allowing 4 runs as OKC opened up an 11-0 lead. The Space Cowboys went to position players in the 8th and 9th and they allowed 11 more runs. The offense added a few runs late but the game was already out of hand.

Note: Leon is hitting .303 this season.

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (9-21) lost 2-1 (BOX SCORE)

Robaina started for the Hooks and pitched really well striking out 7 over 6.1 innings allowing just 2 runs, both on solo HRs. The offense struggled all night, finally getting on the board on a Price solo HR in the bottom of the 9th but that would be it as the Hooks lost 2-1.

Note: Robin has a 1.71 ERA in Double-A.

A+: Asheville Tourists (12-17) lost 6-5 (BOX SCORE)

Asheville got on the board in the first on a Baez solo HR. In the 2nd inning they picked up 2 runs on a Guillemette RBI single and Williams sac fly. True got the start making his High-A debut allowing 3 runs over 3 innings. He was relieved by Hicks who struck out 5 over 4 innings allowing 1 run. The game went to the 89th with Asheville down 4-3 but Garcia came through with a 2 run double to give them the lead. Unfortunately, the bullpen was unable to hang on as the Dash walked it off with a 6-5 win.

Note: Hicks has 34 K in 27 innings this season.

A: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (17-13) lost 11-2 (BOX SCORE)

The Woodpeckers got on the board in the first on a Hernandez RBI groundout. Rodriguez got the start and pitched well allowing 1 run over 5 innings of work. The bullpen struggled though, allowing 10 runs over the final 4 innings. Gomez connected on a solo HR in the 7th but that was it from the offense as the Woodpeckers fell 11-2.

Note: Gomez has 3 HR this season.
