Astros Minor League Recap: September 17th

Another day of minor league action is in the books. You can see all the Astros affiliates results below.

AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (66-72) won 6-1 (BOX SCORE)

Bielak started and tossed 4 scoreless innings. Sugar Land got on the board on the second inning on a Dirden solo HR. Dubbin relieved Bielak and tossed 3 scoreless innings with 5 strikeouts. The offense added 4 more runs in the 5th on a Meyers RBI double and Julks 3 run HR. The bullpen would allow a run but Paredes closed the door as the Space Cowboys won 6-1.

Note: Dubin hasn’t allowed a run over his last 3 outings (11 innings).


AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (63-73) lost 8-2 (BOX SCORE)

Arrighetti started for the Hooks and allowed 3 runs over 4 innings while striking out 8. He was relieved by Ruppenthal who got roughed up allowing 4 runs. Perez put the offense on the board in the 7th with a 2 run HR. Chaidez went 3 innings in relief allowing 1 unearned run but the offense was unable to come back as they fell 8-2.

Note: Arrighetti has 152 K in 106.2 innings this season.
