Astros Minor League Recap: June 3rd, 2019

Another day of minor league action in the books. See the results below. This will be a recap due to lack of writing time for me.

AAA: Round Rock Express (34-23) OFF


AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (29-27) won 4-3 (BOX SCORE)

Adcock got the start for the Hooks and was solid going 7 innings while allowing 3 runs on 4 hits. The offense only scored in one inning, but they made the most of it scoring 4 times in the 3rd. In that inning they got a 2 run double from Beer and a 2 run HR from Goetzman. Hernandez and McKee combined to toss 2 scoreless innings to close it out.

Note: Beer has 16 RBI in 17 AA games.


A+: Fayatteville Woodpeckers (25-32) lost 4-2 (BOX SCORE)

Rodriguez started for the Woodpeckers and went 5 innings allowing just 1 hit, but he did allowed 3 runs, 2 of which were earned. The Woodpeckers picked up 2 runs in the bottom of the 3rd on De La Cruz and Arauz RBI doubles. Paredes relieved Rodriguez and struck out 6 over 4 innings while allowing 1 run. The offense was unable to rally as they lost 4-2.

Note: Ramirez has 59 K in 44.0 innings this season.
