Another day of minor league action in the books. See the results below.

AAA: Round Rock Express (46-32) won 4-2 (BOX SCORE)

Urquidy continued his dominance of AAA last night tossing 6 scoreless innings with 9 strikeouts. He now has 64 K in 43.2 AAA innings. Mayfield put the Express on the board in the 6th with an RBI single. The Express entered the 9th down 2-1 but rallied to score 3 runs on a Rojas RBI double, Ritchie RBI fielder’s choice, and McCormick RBI single. Guduan and Paulino but struck out 3 each over the final 2 innings to close it out.

Note: Urquidy now has 15 BB/104 K in 76.2 innings this season.


AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (36-39) OFF


A+: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (36-40) lost 4-2 (BOX SCORE)

Garcia started for the Woodpeckers and pitched well allowing just 1 unearned run over 5 innings while striking out 8. Schreiber put the Woodpeckers on the board with an RBI single in the 6th to make it 1-1. The bullpen struggled with Donato allowed 3 runs in the 7th. The offense got one back in the 9th on a Taylor RBI double but that was it as they lost 4-2.

Note: Garcia has a 2.35 ERA with 88 K in 61.1 innings this season.


A: Quad Cities River Bandits (46-25) won 7-5 (BOX SCORE)

Bravo started and went 4 innings allowing 5 runs (all in the 4th) while striking out 7. The River Bandits got on the board in the 3rd on a Pena solo HR and Campos RBI double. After falling behind 5-2, they would score 3 runs in the 5th on a run scoring wild pitch, Dennis sac fly and Campos RBI single. They added 2 more in the 7th and 8th with a run scoring on an error and another on a McKenna RBI groundout. Rivera closed it out with 5 scoreless innings.

Note: Adolph is hitting .377 with 1.117 in June.
