Astros Minor League Recap: May 28th, 2019

Another day of minor league action in the books. See the results below.

AAA: Round Rock Express (31-21) lost 4-2 (BOX SCORE)

Bostick got the start for Round Rock last night and only last 3.2 innings allowing 3 runs, 1 earned. De Goti put the Express on the board in the 3rd inning with an RBI single. After falling behind 3-1, the Express cut it to 3-2 on a Ritchie sac fly. The offense was unable to put anything else on the board though as they fell 4-2. Garza tossed 3 scoreless innings in relief.

Note: Tucker is hitting .395 with 5 HR, 12 RBI, 7 BB/5 SO over his last 10 games.


AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (25-25) lost 5-4 (BOX SCORE)

Adcock started for the Hooks and went 4.2 innings allowing 3 runs, all in the 5th. The Hooks picked up their first run on a Dawson solo HR in the 5th inning, his 7th of the season. Rojas stayed hot hitting a solo HR in the 6th to make it 3-2. A McCormick RBI triple tied it at 3 in the 8th but the RockHounds responded right back getting two in the bottom of the inning. The Hooks picked up 1 in the 9th on a Wrenn solo HR but McCormick struck out with 2 on to end it 5-4.

Note: Rojas is hitting .500 with 7 HR, 9 RBI over his last 10 games.
